How To Build An Endless List of Customers

Shane

Not a lot of small businesses are aware of this – But you can have hundreds of pre-qualified leads to message and never run out of work again.

Almost like turning on a faucet. Business running dry? Turn the faucet. Boom. Problem fixed.

New customers, more work, whenever you want.

Companies are doing this every single day.

And the best part of it all?

The leads have already shown an interest in your services.

You just have to be there when they need you.

Getting their information

First things first… Building the list.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like giving out my information.

I’m a private guy – I protect my details like an old lady with her handbag down a dark alley.

But even I have my exceptions.

If it’s a good enough reason? I won’t think twice.

You can have my email address.

Keep it.

It’s yours.

We’re all the same in reality. If it’s a good enough reason, we don’t mind giving our contact details.

So we need to provide something valuable for the lead's email address:

  • An e-book

  • Video Course

  • A how-to guide

  • The launch codes for a nuclear missile.

It’s all good. I don’t judge.

In the business, we call these “lead magnets”.

An offer they can’t refuse

I don’t see any local businesses using lead magnets and it’s a shame.

They’re ten years behind everyone else. And I’ll bet my nephew’s favourite toy that nothing will change in ten more years.

Your competition, your local plumber, the local barbers etc none of them are using this.

And here are two reasons why you need to:

  1. Only 20% of consumers buy the first time of see your ad. An email list keeps us in contact with the other 80%.

  2. Customers are more loyal to the businesses they’re most familiar with – which would be you.

To get them to give their email you have to give them an offer they can’t refuse.

And no, not in a mafia boss “The Godfather” type of way.

More in a “I can’t believe he is giving me this for free” type of way.

I do it by teaching local businesses how to get more customers through Facebook ads.

You can do it by offering something of the same value.

It needs to be something that’s a no-brainer. Easy to say yes to.

Don’t worry about giving away something too valuable.

If you think “This is too much to give away for free” it’s going to capture leads, and that’s what we want.

Don’t worry – You’re not going to go bankrupt.

Be Their Go To

In sales, we’re taught about something called “frame”.

Now, I’m not expecting Jordan Belford to read my article so I’ll explain what frame is:

Frame shapes how something is perceived in communication.

Your lead magnet and your emails frame you as an expert.

You’re the guy to go to.

You get it done.

You’re the professional.

And this is what you want when it comes to leads.

When someone needs what you have to offer, chances are, they’re going to the guy who gave them free resources and emails about the topic.

They’ll choose someone they’re familiar with. Someone who knows their stuff.

This works for every business, including yours.

If you want to create your own list of warm leads to reach out to and don’t know where to start — Fill out my agency’s form.

I’ll personally get on the phone with you, ask a few questions about your business and tell you how I’d do it.

If you like what I come up with and want to work together, I’ll explain the next steps and welcome you onboard.

If not, that’s also fine.

No high-pressure sales. No obligations.

Until next time,

Shane
